Oscar & Eve Perfumery was built on holistic foundations, that I had slowly developed over the years for my growing family. As a mother of two, researching immensely on toxin-overload in our bodies, I had discovered some ugly truths not only about our diets, but synthetic fragrance too.

The perfume industry is a very secretive one and carries up to 4000 unregulated chemicals, due to recipe protection laws. Our plant world has been pulled apart and laced with poison, in the name of profit and longevity, at the cost of your health.

Oscar & Eve eau de parfum is completely natural. Our formulations are curated with pure, full-bodied essential oils that have not been pulled apart and turned into isolates (oil compounds dissected into individual characteristics, which affects the quality of each scent) which will assist in the longevity if your perfume after application. 

Staying Close to God’s Design Through Natural Perfume

Using natural perfume—made from plants, resins, and essential oils—can be seen as a way of honouring God’s original design for creation. In the Bible, fragrance often symbolizes holiness, worship, beauty, and the presence of God. Natural scents come directly from the earth that God created, reminding us that His design is sufficient, pure, and purposeful.

When we choose natural fragrances rather than synthetic ones, we are returning to ingredients that come from the garden of creation—flowers, woods, spices, and resins that God placed on earth for nourishment, healing, and enjoyment. This choice can be a small but meaningful way to live in harmony with creation and practice stewardship over what God has made.

Scripture repeatedly shows that aromas and incense were part of sacred worship. These fragrances were not artificial inventions but natural substances offered to God as a “pleasing aroma.” They remind us that scent can be connected to reverence, prayer, and devotion.

Natural perfume can therefore become more than a product—it can be a daily reminder of God’s creativity, provision, and the beauty of His natural order.

We make perfume with more than one purpose. Creating preservative-free and organic perfume has changed the game in reducing cell damage, and it's given us another reason to come back to source.
