Using natural perfume—made from plants, resins, and essential oils—can be seen as a way of honouring God’s original design for creation. In the Bible, fragrance often symbolizes holiness, worship, beauty, and the presence of God. Natural scents come directly from the earth that God created, reminding us that His design is sufficient, pure, and purposeful.

When we choose natural fragrances rather than synthetic ones, we are returning to ingredients that come from the garden of creation—flowers, woods, spices, and resins that God placed on earth for nourishment, healing, and enjoyment. This choice can be a small but meaningful way to live in harmony with creation and practice stewardship over what God has made.

Scripture repeatedly shows that aromas and incense were part of sacred worship. These fragrances were not artificial inventions but natural substances offered to God as a “pleasing aroma.” They remind us that scent can be connected to reverence, prayer, and devotion.
